At 8:46pm, Stamford Fire Department was dispatched to 27 Middle Ridge Rd for a report of a fire in the walls.  The first arriving unit was E-8 from the Turn of River Station 1 firehouse.  E-8 arrived on the scene in 4 minutes from the time of dispatch and confirmed a working fire in the residence.  A hose line was quickly stretched into the residence and the crew was able to locate and confine the fire in the walls.  The incident was limited to the first alarm assignment of 3 Engines, 1 Rescue, 1 Truck, 1 RIT Team, Turn of River Volunteer Rescue 66, and 2 Shift commanders.  Additional support was provided by the Stamford Fire Department Mechanical Division, Stamford EMS, SFD Safety 3 and 711 as Safety Officer’s.  Crews from E-9, T-1, and R-1 worked to overhaul the affected area of origin and clear the residence of smoke.  At 9:15pm the incident was determined to be under control.  The fire is under investigation by the Stamford Fire Marshal’s Office.  No residents or firefighters were injured at the fire.
