Stamford Fire units from the South End Station and The Woodside Station responded to Southfield Ave near the entrance of the Crab Shell for a vehicle flipped over with an occupant still trapped in the vehicle. Crews worked to stabilize both the occupant and vehicle, then used specialized cutting equipment to remove the roof of the vehicle in order to free the trapped occupant. Medical care upon removal from the vehicle, as well as transport to Stamford Hospital were provided by Stamford EMS.
