(Stamford, CT) – Stamford Fire Department firefighters responded to a reported structure fire located at 88 Saddle Rock Rd. at 09:55 a.m. this morning.  Arriving on scene at 10:01a.m. Truck Co.  # 1 reported a smoke condition.  Firefighters entered the home and located the fire in the garage and a crawl space under the structure.  The fire was brought under control by 10:29 a.m. and no injuries were reported.   The fire involved construction materials and several paint and stain containers that leaked in the area of the fire.  The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection responded to evaluate the spilled paint and stain.  A total of 28 firefighters responded to the scene.  The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshals division.   The last fire unit on the scene cleared at 13:01 p.m.
