(Stamford, CT) – At 07:13, the Stamford Fire Department, Turn of River Fire Department, and Long Ridge Fire Departments were dispatched to a reported car fire inside an attached garage at 181 Thornridge Drive in the Turn of River fire district. Stamford Fire Department Engine 8 arrived on scene at 07:21 and reported a working fire inside the garage. Engine 8 advanced a hose line to the garage and quickly extinguished the fire. Additional crews performed a search for occupants and fire extension on the additional levels of the home. Other fire units ventilated the upper floors of the residence. The fire was brought under control within 20 minutes. Approximately 35 firefighters were on the scene with no reported injuries.

City fire marshals were called to the scene, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
